Pay: £12.74-£13.07 per hour

Samuels Christian Nursery is recruiting for a term time, qualified, Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly team.

Working hours: 8.30am-3.30pm Monday - Friday, term time only.

Samuels Christian Nursery is a term time only, 28 place nursery based in the Broadmead Community Church in Northampton, offering childcare to children aged 2.5 years to 5 years. We welcome, value and nurture each individual child in a warm, safe and caring environment. We are looking for that special someone who has a caring nature and experience of working in an inclusive environment where children's interests are followed to help them learn and develop to their full potential.

We are seeking someone that holds a full and relevant level 2 or above qualification in children's care learning & development (or equivalent).

You must have good working knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding requirements. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well within a team, building positive relationships with colleagues, parents and other professionals. You must have patience, empathy and a genuine love of working with children, along with previous experience of working in an Early Years childcare setting.

Key responsibilities include:

Meet the individual care and learning needs of children

Nurture positive relationships with children ensuring their emotional well-being and promoting their confidence and self-esteem

Deliver high-quality interactions that support children's development

Fulfil key person responsibilities for a group of children attending the nursery

Provide learning experiences that challenge and enable young children to grow in confidence and independence within a stimulating environment

Take responsibility for the observation, assessment, monitoring, and record keeping of key children’s learning and development using a variety of methods to inform planning

Promote positive behaviour in line with Samuels Christian Nursery policies and procedures

Value parents as partners and develop positive relationships with parents

Work collaboratively as part of a team

Safeguard all children and follow safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
