Fees Information  

From September 2019 the fees will be £4.50 per hour for children 2 years 9 months to 3 years.  Fees are payable every half-term.  Fees   must  be  paid   in   advance   and   cannot  be refunded for illness or other reasons for absenteeism.

Funded Early Learning places are available to some two year olds. Families can check eligibility on the Northamptonshire County Council website using the Online Eligibility Checker, for more information go to the link below and ensure to make a note of the valid reference number if you are eligible for this funding:

For children who are 3 or 4 years old, up to 15 hours a week are funded by the Northamptonshire County Council the term following their third birthday. This funding continues until the child starts school. However, if your child is 3 or 4 years old and does not require funding at Samuels, the fees will be £4.50 per hour. This fee is subject to change.

Should you wish to withdraw your child from Samuels we require one month’s notice in writing, or one month’s fees.

Support for working families and families on low incomes:


·     30 Hours Childcare for working parents (3 & 4 year olds):

Currently all families are entitled to 15 hours free child care for 15 hours per week for their 3 and 4 year olds. From September 2017 the government has committed to increasing the free childcare offer from 15 hours to 30 hours a week for families that are eligible. Click here for more information.

.     Tax-Free Childcare:

Tax-Free Childcare is a new government scheme to help working parents with the cost of childcare. Parents will be able to open an online account, which they can use to pay for childcare from a registered provider. Click here for more information.

.     Working Tax Credit: 

Eligibility depends on your age and how many hours of paid work you do a week. Your income and circumstances will also affect how much you get. Click here for more information.


·     Universal Credit for Childcare:

If you, and any partner, are working, or you’re due to start work, and you’re claiming Universal Credit, you can claim back up to 85% of your eligible childcare costs for children under 16. Click here for more information.

.     Childcare Vouchers: 

A salary sacrifice scheme exempt from tax and National Insurance contributions. You can’t use childcare vouchers at the same time as Tax-Free Childcare. Over time, Tax-Free Childcare will replace childcare vouchers and childcare arranged directly by your employer.
